Why Now
Mental health risk often hides behind achievement. Evidence shows rising levels of stress, trauma, and burnout among high-performing populations, frequently going unrecognized until serious harm occurs. Among U.S. nurses, 28.4% screen positive for probable PTSD, with severe symptoms common. Across 119 studies, 34% of healthcare workers reported PTSD symptoms during the pandemic. Diagnosed PTSD among U.S. college students more than doubled from 3.4% to 7.5% in five years, while suicide rates among registered nurses and physicians remain elevated.
These trends reveal systemic gaps in prevention and early support. Functioning does not mean well. Addressing mental health risks before crisis is essential to protecting individual wellbeing, sustaining performance, and strengthening the systems communities rely on.

Our Mission
HaraSemay Global Foundation’s mission is to strengthen mental wellbeing through prevention-focused, ethical, and systems-based approaches that address underlying psychological and institutional factors influencing health. We support healthcare workers, youth, and academic communities by promoting early awareness, responsible leadership, and constructive reform that aligns values with practice. Our work is non-clinical, non-religious, and globally applicable, with a focus on sustainable impact and long-term wellbeing.

Prevention-focused programs are developed to strengthen mental wellbeing at both individual and systems levels. These initiatives promote early awareness, ethical engagement, and sustainable practices across healthcare, education, and community settings. Through collaboration with institutions and local partners, the work supports environments that protect wellbeing, encourage responsible leadership, and reduce long-term psychological and organizational risk.
Strong governance and ethical leadership guide the foundation’s work and ensure accountability, transparency, and mission integrity across all activities. A centralized Board of Directors provides strategic oversight while supporting lean operations and locally informed execution. Leadership structures are designed to uphold ethical standards, strengthen partnerships, and promote sustainable impact across regions and programs.

Featured Projects

Healthcare Systems Wellbeing Initiative
This project focuses on strengthening mental wellbeing within healthcare systems by addressing early stress, burnout risk, and institutional patterns that affect physicians and healthcare workers. Through preventive education, leadership engagement, and systems-level reflection, the initiative supports healthcare environments that protect those responsible for caring for others. The project emphasizes ethical responsibility, sustainable workplace culture, and alignment between institutional values and daily practice.

Youth and Academic Community Resilience Project

Institutional Reflection and Preventive Reform Program
This project supports organizations and community institutions in identifying hidden psychological and structural patterns that undermine wellbeing over time. Using guided reflection, education, and constructive reform principles, the program helps institutions align their mission, policies, and leadership practices with long-term mental wellbeing goals. Rather than responding only to crisis, the project promotes insight-driven change that strengthens integrity, accountability, and sustainable impact.

Shape Healthier Communities
Healthier communities are built through prevention, shared responsibility, and systems that support wellbeing before challenges escalate. By working with healthcare institutions, educational settings, and community partners, efforts focus on strengthening awareness, reducing stigma, and promoting environments that enable healthy decision-making. This approach supports long-term resilience and fosters communities where wellbeing is protected, sustained, and collectively valued.
